真綿(mawata)とは
昆虫の一種、蚕が吐いた糸（silk）から作った繭を煮繭し、広げ重ねた綿のこと。
白く光沢があり、保温性に優れ柔らかい動物性の繊維です。
日本における真綿の歴史は木綿より古く、滋賀県・福島県・長野県・群馬県などで作られている。
真綿には『角真綿』『袋真綿』『背負い真綿』などもある。
What is mawata?

クラフトでは、纏いもの・ジャケット・バッグを制作し、販売もしている。（個展にて）
地元の知的障害施設でテキスタイルボランティア。
古来から続く奈良の神事で使用する真綿の制作・奉納を続けている。
